For TVCC clients, 4-9 yrs, with physical disabilities who reside in Elgin-Middlesex-Oxford, Grey-Bruce, & Huron-Perth counties.

Join us for a fun week of accessible recreational activities for children between the ages of 4 - 9 years old with physical disabilities. Campers will participate in co-operative games, swimming, sports, outdoor play, crafts, music, and more.

Community providers may be visiting us throughout the week to introduce different recreation opportunities. All activities will take place at TVCC, 779 Base Line Road East and will be faciliated and supported by Therapeutic Recreation, Therapy Assistants, and volunteers.

This inclusive summer day camp will focus on the 6 F-Words for child development.

In camp we will:

  • Learn ways to participate in various camp activities, games and sports. (Functioning)
  • Stay active and engaged in a variety of camp activities such as sports, life skills, outdoor activities, swimming, and cooperative games. (Fitness)
  • Support engagement with, learning about, and having fun with campers and helpers. (Friends)
  • Focus on cooperation, celebrations, and positive feedback. (Fun)
  • Share information, strategies, and resources with parent/caregivers regarding participation and opportunities for each camper to continue to thrive and celebrate their abilities in the areas of leisure and sport (Family and Future).
